The Star Height Hierarchy Vs. The Variable Hierarchy

چکیده

The star height hierarchy (resp. the variable hierarchy) results in classifying μ-terms into classes according to the nested depth of fixed point operators (resp. to the number of bound variables). We prove, under some assumptions, that the variable hierarchy is a proper refinement of the star height hierarchy. We mean that the non collapse of the variable hierarchy implies the non collapse of the star height hierarchy. The proof relies on the combinatorial characterization of the two hierarchies.

Double-Frontier Analysis Approach for Weight Derivation in ‎Analytical Hierarchy Process

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) combined with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) provides Data Envelopment Analytic Hierarchy Process (DEAHP) methodology for weight derivation and aggregation. A double-frontier analysis approach is proposed in this article to derive priorities in AHP. The proposed method combines DEA variable weight with AHP from both optimistic and pessimistic views to obtain th...

The Non-deterministic Mostowski Hierarchy and Distance-Parity Automata

Given a Rabin tree-language and natural numbers i, j, the language is said to be i, j-feasible if it is accepted by a parity automaton using priorities {i, i+1, ..., j}. The i, j-feasibility induces a hierarchy over the Rabin-tree languages called the Mostowski hierarchy. In this paper we prove that the problem of deciding if a language is i, j-feasible is reducible to the uniform universality ...

Hierarchy Style Application in Line Extension with Responsive Loads Evaluating the Dynamic Nature of Solar Units

This paper presents a model for line extension scheduled to participate in responsive loads in the power system aiming the improvement of techno-economical parameters. The model is studied with the presence of photovoltaic generators that produce variable power depending on the geographical condition. The investment cost of the transmission expansion plan, demand response operation cost, genera...

Analyzing the causes of falling from height accidents in construction projects with analytical hierarchy process (AHP)

Introduction: Fall from height is one of the main causes of death in the construction workers. Therefore, this study aimed to identify and prioritize the factors affecting falls from height accidents in construction industry. Material and method: A descriptive-analytical study was conducted on five constructional projects in Pars Jonoobi industrial region, Iran. All of the reported events from...

Groundwater potentiality through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS)

Nowadays the use of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the most powerful cost effective tools to identify and discover the available groundwater resources. In this paper, Lithological Units, Lineaments, Slope, Topography, Drainage density, Vegetation and Isohyets lines have been achieved by stations and through remote sensing and GIS techniques. All layers of diffe...
